About Me

I was born in Prague, and the violin has been part of my life for as long as I can remember. I began studying at a music school at the age of seven, and several years later, following my success in a regional competition, I was accepted to the Prague Music Gymnasium, where I studied violin with Jiří Novák. In 1999, I continued my studies at the Prague Conservatory, studying violin with František Pospíšil and chamber music with Jaroslav Ruis.

After graduating from the Prague Conservatory, I continued my studies in violin and music theory at the Faculty of Education of Charles University, in the class of the renowned violinist Professor Jiří Tomášek. I received my Master’s degree there in 2011.

Over the years, I have collaborated with a number of orchestras and ensembles and performed in many countries around the world. I currently teach violin at ZUŠ Prosek in Prague.

From an early age, my dream was not to play the violin, but to make violins.

I spent every spare moment with my grandfather in his woodworking workshop, learning the basics of working with wood. I made my first “violin” at the age of ten, and from that moment on, I wanted to become a violin maker.

I began studying violin making seriously in my early twenties, after meeting Prague violin maker Václav Lanc, under whom I apprenticed. I then spent three years studying violin making at the violin-making school in Cheb, before continuing my training with renowned Czech violin maker Dalibor Bzirský. I continue to develop my skills and knowledge, and in 2026 I attended a workshop led by internationally renowned violin maker Marcus Klimke.

I work in my own workshop in Prague 8, where, in addition to making new instruments, I also restore string instruments. Several professional violinists and conservatory students currently play my violins.
